The Chinese company Arcfox started exporting electric vehicles from Ferrol (A Coruña) on Thursday, with the forecast of moving between 5,000 and 8,000 units per year from 2025, according to officials of the Asian group BAIC, which works with the companies Altium and Magna for their landing in Europe.
The managing director of the BAIC New Energy Vehicle Company, Yu Tao, has indicated that the opening of facilities in the outer port of Ferrol is part of its strategy of “growing the European electric car market”, and the project deployed in the city to “revolutionize” the continental scenarios highlighted as “important”.
Thus, he alluded to a “new driving experience” and the desire to “contribute to sustainable mobility” within a plan that initially envisages distribution in 24 Spanish dealers, about which the company has avoided specifying their identities.
